Jenny Slate And Chris Evans Break Up Again

Jenny Slate and Chris Evans met and started dating on the set of the film Gifted in 2016. The two broke up in February of 2017 but ended up getting back together this past fall while Chris was shooting Avengers: Infinity War in Atlanta. This Hollywood couple has become the on-again, off-again relationship we can't help but love to follow. In a New York Times profile on Chris published Thursday, March 22nd, Reggie Ugwu revealed the couple has broken up for a second time, writing, "their on-again, off-again relationship, beloved by the internet, recently ended." Evans, for his part, did not say anything, and Slate made no mention of their split when she appeared on The Late Late Show this week.

In break up number one we reposted that the two called it quits back in February right before the promotional tour for Gifted was set to begin. Break ups are hard enough without having to literally make press appearances with your ex where reporters will inevitably be asking about your relationship. Evans and Slate are handling this tough situation like champs, though, with Slate even speaking very highly of her ex in New York Magazine. "Chris is truly one of the kindest people I've ever met, to the point where sometimes I would look at him and it would kind of break my heart," she said. "He's really vulnerable, and he's really straightforward. He's like primary colors. He has beautiful, big, strong emotions, and he's really sure of them. It's just wonderful to be around. His heart is probably golden-colored, if you could paint it."

Chris even told USA Today around the same time saying, "You know, relationships are tricky. There are lot of moving pieces. But I am endlessly grateful for having met her. She will be in my life always." Calling Slate a "very, very special person" and an "incredible human being," he added, "You spend five minutes with her and you cannot find something bad to say about her if you tried."

It seems like these two will always have each other's backs which is probably why it's been so hard to stay a part.
