Sorbet-Flavored Cannabis Edibles Available For Gay Pride Month

Folks that want to partake in some cannabis action and support Gay Pride Month can thank California-based company PLUS for releasing rainbow sorbet-flavored edibles, which will see a portion of each sale benefit The Trevor Project.

It was recently announced that the sorbet-flavored edibles, which serve as a limited edition treat in honor of the LGBTQ+ occasion, contain 5 mg of THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) per treat. THC is the chemical compound in cannabis that makes you feel high. While they might not be legal in all states throughout the country, the edibles are available by law in the nine states where recreational cannabis-use has been legalized. Among those states include California, Alaska, Maine, Massachusetts, Colorado, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, and the capital district.

"Lovingly crafted by a team from the Bay Area, these gummies will help you feel fabulous any time of day," reads the online description of the product, which is priced at $20 per unit. "A portion of each purchase will be donated to The Trevor Project, a confidential suicide hotline for LGBT youth."

PLUS founder Jeff Heimark told Gay Star News that the idea of partnering up with The Trevor Project was an easy choice. "At PLUS, we believe that companies have a responsibility to help make our world a safer place, and The Trevor Project works hard to accomplish that goal every day," Haimark explained.
