Ariana Grande is ready to drop her next hit!
On Thursday (January 10), the "thank u, next" singer announced on Instagram the release date of her next single, "7 Rings," captioning a photo of the track's cover art: "đđđđđđđ 1.18."
Ari's announcement came hours after she posted then deleted what appeared to be the lyrics to the highly-anticipated single on her Instagram Story Wednesday (January 9) night. While they weren't up for long, eagle-eyed fans were able to screenshot the post. Check out a few bars of the single's alleged lyrics below:
Buy myself all of me/ he he he, tea/they say âwhich one?â/ i say âI want all of âemâ/ I see it I like it I want it i got it by now/ let me give you some tea/ 7 rings/ 7 rings/ i pop it/ i pierce it/ 7 rings 7 rings/ I call her, I say âHello!â/ one: not right/two: not quite/ three: youâre on track/ four: do not go back!/ five: youâre almost there!/ six: itâs over there!/ seven: thatâs right!/ 7 rings, 7 rings.
Back in December, Ari revealed that the song is about friendship, with each ring representing a close friend of hers. "well ............. âtwas a pretty rough day in nyc. my friends took me to tiffanyâs. we had too much champagne. i bought us all rings. đ," she wrote on Twitter. "it was very insane and funny. & on the way back to the stu njomza was like âbitch, this gotta be a song lolâ. so we wrote it that afternoon." The 25-year-old singer later tweeted who among her circle was lucky enough to get a ring. "me, vic, courtney, alexa, tayla, njomza, kaydence (and my mom and nonna so technically nine but they got theirs after song was done)," she wrote.
