Portia de Rossi spoke on how her wife, Ellen DeGeneres, is coping amid all the drama concerning her daytime talk show.
A photographer caught up with Rossi on Sunday (August 9) while she and her mother, Margaret, were walking their dogs in Santa Barbara. The 47-year-old, who concealed her face with a black scarf and sunglasses, was as nice as she possibly could be during the encounter.
At one point during the exchange, the cameraman pressed Rossi for details concerning the embattled TV host.
According to Page Six, when asked how DeGeneres is doing considering the relentless allegations against her and The Ellen DeGeneres Showâs alleged âtoxicâ workplace culture, Rossi said her wife is âdoing great.â He then brought up speculations about the seriesâ potential cancelation, asking whether the 62-year-old is continuing her show, to which Rossi answered, âYes, she is.â
This isnât the first time Rossi has publicly sided with her wife amid the ongoing controversy surrounding DeGeneresâ alleged unfriendly conduct behind the scenes. Taking to Instagram earlier this month, she wrote, âTo all our fansâŠ.we see you. Thank you for your support,â adding âI Stand By Ellenâ and the hashtags â#stopbotattacks,â seemingly dismissing these claims.
In July, several ex-employees of DeGeneresâ show came forward with accusations against the star, claiming to have been subjected to racism and intimidation while working for her. (WarnerMedia has since launched an internal investigation into these claims.) Days later, dozens more broke their silence on the alleged sexual misconduct they experienced by producers on the show.
DeGeneres eventually addressed the long-running whispers about her showâs alleged workplace misconduct in a statement expressing her disappointment.
