Matt Barnes wants a reduction in child support! Now that Matt Barnes has sole legal and physical custody of his twin boys 71% of the time, he’s asking for a judge to reduce his $20,000 per month child support payments to his ex-wife and the mother of his two children, Gloria Govan.
According to documents obtained by The Blast:
The ex-NBA star says since he is now retired from professional basketball, his income is not what it was when the child support obligation was originally decided.Barnes said he now makes around $150,000, and after using the court’s child support algorithm, believes he should only be paying $2,798 per child, per month. That equates to a total annual payment of $67,148 to Govan for the boys.He’s asking that the court grant his request, and allow the smaller payments. Govan has not yet responded to Barnes’ request, but no doubt she will fight the reduction.
