- After three men connected to R. Kelly were arrested and charged with intimidating and bribing alleged victims, allegations of the singer having a secret bank account of $1.2 million have now come to the surface.
- It was just last year that Kelly claimed he was broke, but now reports have come out that he allegedly opened the account three months before his arrest in March of last year.
- The account went under the radar because it was opened in another name. Prosecutors stumbled across bank records that revealed the account and upon further investigation recorded calls by the singer from jail had him giving instructions on how to handle money for the account.
- R. Kelly is currently in jail awaiting trial for sex crime charges.
